THANKS TO ALL WHO WERE PRESENT AT THE SANTA CRUZ PRESENTATION

YOUR ‘GRAN BLAGGATORE’ AND THE ‘OLD RANCERE’ WANT TO THANK EVERYONE WHO CAME TO THE SANTA CRUZ COUNTY GENEALOGY SOCIETY’S PRESENTATION AT THE ‘LA NOSTRA COSTA PHOTO DISPLAY’.

We think that a fun time was had by all. We especially want to thank Al and Norma Wilson who were there to take pictures of the event and Roger 'Ruggero' Princevalle who handled 'special' logistics. (The photos above are courtesy of Al and Norma.) Also a special thanks to those who brought along guests to see the presentation. New faces are always welcomed. And of course thanks to Maxine McNamara and Marion Pokriots for all there hard work in setting up the event for SCCGS. Marion says that she plans to keep the 'Display' through the month of June. So, your 'Gran Blaggatore' and the 'Old Rancere' may not be there, but the photos will.
Oh yes. Thanks to Wayne Thalls the 'Duty Officer of the Day' for patiently putting up with all our antics. ivn0

Ivano-

Sorry to miss your presentation in SC.

Thanks to Norma and Al for those fine photos of Mr. Rancere-Blaggatore (and why not Professore?). And the earlier one of you and Augie Gemignani warmed me up even better - Augie farmed on my grandfather's ranch with John Colombini in the late '50s, and I remember we learned from Augie about eating nettles. A 'salute' to him the next time you see him. And - isn't that Elio Rodoni on that motor scooter?

I'll be in SC briefly in a week, and will check out the photo exhibit at the library.

Best,
Hank

LNC: Thanks Hank. Yes that's Elio "Bebo" Rodoni on the Scooter. As I write in "La Nostra Costa", "Bebo" was Elio's nickname for a long time "su per la costa" ivno

Dear Ivano,
I was so happy to see all of your people come down to our library. I was most interested in the discussion of the war years. My favorite film is "Tea With Mussolini." I've also read Iris Origo's "War in Val D'Orcia." She gives a blow by blow account of the German Occupation in her community.
I would like to keep the display in the case through June, if that is alright with you.
Thanks, Marion

LNC: Marion: I was very happy with the turn out. The 'Old Rancere' would be honored if you kept the display up thru June.
I was really glad that you pulled out the photos out of the drawer. Shortly I will being putting additional photos on the Blagga of the people attending.
You will notice how much fun they are having going thru the photos on the table. Ivno

I enjoyed sitting in on your "family reunion".

Wayne

LNC: Thanks Wayne. I think this is the second time you have been present. Hopefully, next time you will bring Nadine (Fambrini). I have great stories to tell about the Fambrini Family in "Il Buco".

BTW: As I understand it, Wayne's son is married to Nadine's daughter.

Hi Ivan,

Looks like you've been busy with your "roots." I see that "La Nostra Costa" is available on Amazon. Congratulations!

I see that you are living in Morgan Hill. Perhaps you'd like to get together and have lunch sometime? Bill

LNC: You bet Bill. "Polenta and salsicca" sounds good to me.
Bill is a Santa Cruz High Grad ('56) and was my roommate at San Jose State College. ivn0
