Ivano ! Mio caro amico Furlan !! I wish I could join up with you at Guglielmo's winery this coming Saturday. Sounds like it will be a fantastico day!!! Have a glass of Zifandel and if they serve a meal have a second glass of Merlot on me..I researched for information on Guglielmo's winery, interesting information. Emilio Guglielmo originates from the Piedmont Region of Italy, which is the North Western Region of Italy. Opposite the Friuli Region. The Piedmont Region is similar to Friuli except their language is French based due to their proximity to France. Also Guglielmo translated in English is William. Usually a first name.

Have a great day on Saturday and if some of the regulars are there from your Blogg make sure to share a drink with them on me ..

This event sounds exciting. I especially like Italian music. I don't know if I can make it.
Hope that many people attend. I know that you will get a big crowd because your book is interesting and people like to have a good time and read a GREAT book!
Thank you for your support. I hope that you know my comments were to stimulate discussion NOT TO MAKE ENEMIES! Oh well!
I do like the Canadian Furlan very much in regards to his writing.
I was impressed with one of Gino Campioni's statements also but I will probably never find it again!

Ivano:
Did this event happen?
I was contemplating going but the weather report said massive storm coming on Saturday so that killed any thoughts that I may have had of going.

Nancy and all who have inquired about 'Vino Rosso Day" . Despite the weather (it was cold and wet) the event went on. The major part of the activities occur under the cover of a roof.. The crowd was extremely large (given the bad travelling conditions caused by the weather). When it comes to good wine at a very reasonable price, folks tend to come out.
No kidding, people were leaving with cases and cases of vino rosso.

As usual the Guglielmo's put on a heck of party, with plenty of food
and free wine tasting. I even managed to sell a few books, although I must say that it is a hard sell, when people are their mainly for the wine. Despite the weather, I think a good time was had by all.

The next "Bottle Your Own Red Wine Day", will be on Saturday, May 17.
Let's hope we have better weather then. Ivano
